BIAB is great, I am still learning it, can I use BIAB to only generate a single track ? what I am trying to utilize is as a bass line generator based on the added chords? I am very sure that I can delete rest of the tracks after adding a particular style I was just wondering if only selected tracks can be generated instead of full styles it would be useful for me working on a song and using BIAB VST to simply generate a bass line or piano chord track only from a selected style? thanks.
thank you for your response, i was aware of muting/ deleting parts afterwards, I was specifically asking if rather generating everything from the load style menu if it was possible to generate and load SINGLE track, thanks again.
Yes. There are numerous styles that include only one instrument. However the issue is the single instrument is typically piano or guitar, not bass and many of those single instrument styles use MIDI patches (instruments).
You will find several styles named "blank" that do not have any instrument assigned. The blank styles do not have embedded midi patterns so they can not play MIDI patches. For that reason most people use RealTracks or MIDIsuperTracks with blank styles.
Note there are numerous blank styles. The one you select will depend if the song is 3/4 or 4/4, 1/8th or 1/16th note based and even or swing feel.
Load the style then select the RealTrack or MIDIsuperTrack you desire.

Yes. Single tracks can be generated from styles that have multiple instruments.
Complete you chord chart, select a style in the normal manner. Rather than use the Play Button or the Generate and Play Button, do the following.
To generate a single track, click on the track you want to generate to select it. Right click to open the sub-menu and select Track Actions. From the Track Actions window, click the first item to generate just the selected track.
Once you've generated the single track, if you hit the re-generate button, all tracks will be generated. Using the Play button and only the single generated track will play. Each track except the drums track can be selected and generated in this singular manner by repeating the steps for each track.
