I only came across this today (Generate 7 varitions of wave files . . .) and thought, 'wow! sounds cool, I'll try it' So I made a track with bass, piano, drums, guitar. I then added a synth patch under 'Strings' and then selected 'Generate 7 varitions of wave files . . .' for the Strings. After a while there were six Strings channels but all the other channels had gone - no drums, bass . . . etc. I expected to see the instruments that made up my track plus seven strings tracks underneath . . .
The original tracks are stored in temporary memory. That way there is room for each of the seven variations. Once you choose a variation, the extra variations go away and the original tracks are restored.
All the riffs are availalbe to you, but you have to jump through some hoops. That is how the MultiRiff feature was designed with 2020 BIAB release. A little surprizing, right?
