Good info, thanks Mike. With the old Scarlett I was unable to achieve 24 bit rec./playback in Win11. I don't require that, but it's nice to have better capabilities. With my luck 4th gen devices will cone out next month.  Or in time for NAMM in April. I’m a member but probably won’t go this year. About the only thing that would interest me in anybody’s 4th gen is 32 bit float and the promise of no longer being able to overdrive Input levels while tracking. My portable recorders do it and signals just do not clip. I’ve been working 32 bit float inside my DAW for a couple years now. Whenever someone goes on and on (and on and on) about why it’s not necessary, my counter is that I have greatly increased headroom in my tracks and that it saves time while mixing. Next? I normally bounce to 24 bit but that’s ok.
