the variation is caused by part markers - blue for a style and green for b style. easiest option is unfold the song to one long chorus and set the blueand green part markers where you want the a and b styles to play. Yes, for total control of your song unfold it. Virtually all of my songs in BiaB are done with the number of choruses set at 1, i.e. all unfolded.
When you are at the checkout line and they ask if you found everything say "Why, are you hiding stuff?"
