For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

This is one cool and chillin' song. The bass is super awesome. What a production!

Math was the bane of my high school years, and yet my daughter is a whiz at it.

Hey Storm, thanks for the listen. I always appreciate your comments.

So your daughter is a whiz? Great. Have her check my calculation here.

Lots of neat lines in your poem, and I enjoyed the instrumental journey.

(Speaking of math, the book E=mc^2 was a topic of discussion during our Valentine's Day dinner for some reason, and now I'm thinking I should re-read it.)

Many thanks for the read, listen and write oleman.

I'm not familiar with the book you mention but Harnessing Complexity by Axelrod and Cohen is a good quick read.

Very cool song. I too am a fan of math. I find allot of similarities in music and math. Especially after I took a deep dive on the mixing and mastering front.

Drums and bass really glued this song together. Excellent listen...

Hey Vic, I'm glad you like the "lyrics", I think I'm more of a poet than a lyrcist but it's appreciated nonetheless. I find truth so much more interesting than fiction.

This is cool.

Am I supposed to read the lyrics out loud to myself as I listen???

There are no rules here David. You could do as you say if that works for you.

For me, I would think reading the poem first to see what I was thinking about as background and then listen would make sense. But that's just me.

Thematically (the poem and backstory ) and production wise all is very interesting indeed.

Your bass sits nicely on the soundstage and well supports the vibe.

There’s just enough of modern pop feel here to keep this old phart engaged, I.e., not running for the hills!

Well done and we enjoyed it.

J&B

I noted the drums had a “busy ride.” Is that not repetitively redundant? smile

Thanks JB,
Not sure what you mean by "busy ride" or "repetitively redundant". The percussion is busy (maybe too busy?) and mainly driven by BiaB's "Loop 2" which I find pleasing, interesting, unique and quite mathematical smile

A failed attempt at humor. Rides are always busy because they are, well, rides. Your RD description said they were "very busy." I said that was repetitively redundant ... like busy busy. They work fine for the tune. Back to the drawing board I go re humor. smile
