Are you talking the chords weren't correct or the tempo mapping wasn't correct.
The chords. What ACW gave me was 3 semitones above what key the song is in.
And trying to create a click track gave me an empty track, and caused an error message when I tried to save the song.
I have NEVER had this big of a problem with a song. I started with opening a MIDI file into BIAB to get a chord chart, then brought the MGX file into Real Band, generated it in a style I chose, and saved. I then generated a better Real Drums track. From that moment I was not able to save the song. I had to save that drum track out to WAV, close the program, reload the SEQ file, import those drums as a WAV, and then I could save it. The original song was in F# minor (so the key shows up as A, which I expected). That is too high for me to sing it. I moved it down to G, so it would be in Em. Still too high. Moved it down to F so it would be in Dm. Finally got to a key I could sing.
I rendered it out to a WAV file. Then opened up my BPM analyzer tool. The song shows to be at 123.07. I opened he original song and tried to adjust the tempo to 123.07 so the downbeats would line up. That is where this all started. The "1" isn't on the "1", so when I want to change some things in the arrangement I can't cut and paste accurately.
So to the original wish list request, I would like Real Band to automatically locate beat 1 of the measures and adjust itself so the beat mapping is automatically correct and I don't have to try 74 steps to line up a stupid song.
I HATE workarounds. I use software to make life easier, not harder. I am now not going to be able to do this song for Herbstock because I don't want a 4 minute song to be a full time job, when steps either don't work or are so poorly defined that I can't do them. "Make a click track" required me to go dig through the manual to find out how to do that. When I finally did find to click the arrow next to record and select "click track", exactly what the manual says, it didn't work. It gave me an empty track, and now I am back to getting error messages when I try to save it.
I'm done with this. I just won't do the song. And that's okay. I should be writing stuff anyway instead of doing covers.
