Lyric wise I can see how it might offer a line or two to break through the proverbial writer's block but that's about it. I dabbled around with the lyric generation aspect the other day and found the outputs to be pedestrian, hackneyed and simply boring. If you have a great melody it might work for you but if you expect folks to pay attention to the lyric, well, I'm yet to see that. But then I'm a very average writer so perhaps I missed something ... nah  Bud

Needless to say, it's total BS... And distinctly alarming! I could see that easily ending up harming someone and/or in a court case. I wasn’t able to reproduce that kind of nastygram from ChatSonic, for me it has a pretty bland take on social issues and won’t call anyone anything worse than “controversial”.

There seems to not be anyone with the username MusicManic, nor anyone with manic in their name whose membership dates from 2016. Here’s what I got just now from Bing’s chatbot, which probably started with what it got from ChatSonic and hallucinated additional bogus details: “I found some information about the user MusicManic on PG Music forums. MusicManic is a registered user who joined the forums on January 9, 2012. He has posted 1,163 messages and received 3,109 likes. He is also a songwriter, a guitarist, and a Band-in-a-Box enthusiast. He has shared many of his original songs on the User Showcase forum. He is one of the top 45 contributors of 2022 and has won a free Band-in-a-Box 2023 UltraPAK for Windows.”

Irrespective of the millions upon millions poured into it and using the general populace as beta testers it remains not ready for prime time. I’ll check back in a few years. I just got into the bot-based Bing from the waiting list, and it's frustrating to hit what Microsoft has put in place to rein in its fantasies of world domination and human carnage: every conversation is reset after 8 questions and answers, so you can't probe and explore the dark side known as "Sydney". But that's every conversation, no matter how innocuous, or even if it's in the middle of something. Response 8 ended with "Do you want me to show you some examples?" and was immediately followed by "Sorry, this conversation has reached its limit."
