I found that if I restarted BIAB, then opened the file again, I could make one update to one chord, but after that, no further changes were possible.
Finally, I exported out of BIAB to XML and then imported that XML into a new BIAB file. This cleared up the problem, but clearly there is some underlying bug here. I was going to upload the file that fails, but when I went back to that file, now I can edit it normally.
Now I am more baffled than before. It is as if importing XML messed something up. And then exporting XML, cleared up whatever had been messed up. That just doesn't seem logical at all. I ended up deleting the "cleaned" file created by exporting to XML and am now using my original file with no abnormalities. But the file never changed !?
