Figured it out.... Looks like it's in the bar settings. I appeared to have done a lot of copy and pasting of bars which created more red lines than I anticipated. I have a tempo change between verses and choruses.
Seriously every time you make a bar setting in any bar it puts the red underline under the bar no. What many people seem to miss is that you can view and print a text summary of all such bar changes, button bottom left of the bar settings window. Have fun Mike
Cool Mike. I see that button in my original screen shot.
One thing I observed is that if I have a range of measures in the chorus for instance that I have increased the tempo through bar settings, the bars after that range will not automatically go back to the song's tempo. I have to define the next section of measures as the original tempo. No biggie but I would have thought it would have been automatic since I only defined the chorus bars with increased tempo.
HI Steve Bar settings stay in force once changed until you change them again. They are continuous. I find them most useful when the song is unfolded as one long song, the settings printout summary is a lot of help then.
Thanx so much. Now I have a problem. I had to go and help my wife so your message was on my monitor for a long time. Now I have these little bumps on it. So how do I get rid of them?
PS - don't suggest sandpaper. I tried that and that left scratches on my monitor
When you are at the checkout line and they ask if you found everything say "Why, are you hiding stuff?"

I thought it meant "Whoa! Watch out for THIS chord".
Reminds me of a short music story. I used to play a lot of shows. The talent and the music director would go from city to city and hire the best of us local players as the band. We would have to erase all rehearsal markings from the book before sending it on. One thing we didn't erase, though, was the eyeglasses icon we would draw to call attention to something extraordinary, a "watch out" kind of thing. The guy in Hartford would leave it for me (Albany), and I would leave it for the guy in Syracuse etc.

I am a brand new Band in a Box user, and I am having a problem which you seem to have solved, but I don't understand the solution.
When I change the tempo from 120 to 80, and then play the song, the song begins at 80, but after a couple of measures, returns to 120. Can you please help with this? Thank you for your kind assistance.
I will watch for your reply on the forum, but you can email me at deepbluepiano@yahoo.com. Thank you.
As Matt mentioned, look for this red line (step 1), select the cell and press function key <F5>, then change the tempo value to zero (step 2) or press the Reset Bar button at the bottom of the Bar Settings form.
Also, welcome to the neighborhood.
