Such sad news and my thoughts and sympathy are with his family at this time. As others have said, Don was inspirational and I have been full of admiration for the way he stayed positive about everything, against almost overwhelming odds. His humour and humanity are things which I will always remember. I collaborated with Don many times over the years, adding guitar parts to some of his old recordings, but one collaboration still stands out for me. About five years ago, Don sent me a backing track, to see if I could add a guitar melody to it. I knew at once that this backing track was something special and it was simply a joy to work with. The finished track became "Maybelle" which many of you will have heard already. After discussing the track with Don, we decided to upload it to YouTube with photos of the Isle of Skye where I used to live. The track is still there as a fitting tribute to my old friend and if anyone wants to listen to it, you'll find it here - MAYBELLERest in peace Don, my friend, and thanks for everything. Roger
