Hi Don,
Click on the "Notation" Icon at the top of the Main Window and then, at the top of the Notation Window, you will see to the right of "Print", three icons which select different views of the Notation. The first is the default which is a display that cannot be edited, the next is the Editable Notation Window in which you can move your notes around. The third Window - the Score Roll Window gives a different view and increased flexibility in placing notation. Don't forget the Piano Roll Window as an alternative.
