I assume the answer is that amateurs don't use enough different reverbs & delays or have them set in oh so many ways as the gent presenting the vid. In the end his song sounded wet which would, to me, be a beginner's mistake. Agree 100%, his song sounds terrible. The problem, especially for beginners, are videos like this, they imply that you need many different reverbs for a song. ........... I also agree. It would have been much more useful if he had taken one reverb and one delay and shown how different settings work for different instruments in various parts of a song. There were some good tips here but IMHO they were masked by the fact he used so many different effects plug-ins and he went so fast in demoing them.

Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe
This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
