As useful as the ear trainign module currently is, it seemingly features only rather basic aspects of ear training. At the moment I am missing two features:
  • Allow an option for playing intervals with two notes sounding simultaneously
  • Allow VSTis for the ear training module

Currently it appears as if the ear training module takes resort to some Wavetable or whatnot. For serious ear training it would be indispensable to allow for more realistic sounds such as via some high quality Piano VSTis, such as Pianoteq, say. It appears that even selecting Pianoteq in the BB Midi driver settings, it does not sound via the ear training module. Any exercise thus has the tendency of sounding tinny, missing out on the all important overtones and thus severely reducing the usefulness of the ear training module.
