Yikes. That's obscure. Thanks to all for explaining this.
With the benefit of hindsight it perhaps isn't an obscure as it initially appears. I've used the numbered choruses to turn soloists on and off, but I hadn't really registered that things were 'hidden' in the dialog, though again with hindsight (the best tool we have!) it's reasonable. Some indication of chorus-specific actions would be nice, but perhaps that would also add unwanted clutter. I shall definitely remember that [Print Summary]! 
Jazz relative beginner, starting at a much older age than was helpful.
