Hi everyone, I was not on the Forum for over a month. I'm sorry for that. Has to do with some nasty things. I saw a lot of new songs I have to listen to. I will! But in that 'silent' time I managed to made 2 songs, or in fact, I recreated them. They are older, but never released. At least this one wasn't: Merry-go-round, https://on.soundcloud.com/PUfshIt is a song I made in 2017, but totally rearanged it and altered the lyrics. So, in a way it's a new song. A song about ordinary people living their lives. in a way we all do that, but some more exiting than those in this song. Still it's a nice song, I think, but let me know what you think about it. The next song will be posted in a few days. So two songs to look forward to ;-) Enjoy, Hans =================================================== Technical stuff I used the style Gambol and tempo 120 bpm. Bas, 3120, piano, 1772, guitar, ac 1, 2933, guitar ac 2, 2932. voc oohs/aahs 2975 and as solo guitar a nylon 2201. A great spirit, I was just boogieing to this for a third listen on the treadmill! Excellent arrangement, with some fascinating rhythmic quirks in the chorus that keep the mind slightly off balance and totally engaged. I enjoyed this very much.

Very cool groove. Excellent backtrack. Basslines were very cool. Gave the song a cool feel. Super vocal and lyric. Very well Hans. Glad you resurrected it. Well done.

Cool overall sound. The electric piano creates a gliding motion in the music.
The melody works well. Vocal is one your top performances.

Hans,
Cool tune. Excellent groove and good choice of instruments. Nice and airy. I liked it. Vocals are ACE, but too much high frequency for my taste. It (vocals) lacks most of bass, so sits a bit apart from arrangement. In any case, a very nice tune. Thank you for sharing.

Man, it's inspiring how you work a song from conception to creation, Hans. Excellent vocal as always, and I really like the melody and passion. Nice use of the ooze and oz. Always an excellent choice of musicians in a pro mix. I try hard to find some constructive criticism to show you I can help. I even try to nit pick something I make up, but... Well, it's flawless.

Engaging groove on this one. Stellar vocals with some great, well-balanced BGV harmonies. Vocal sits really well in the mix for me . . . and the production overall is well done. Like your BIAB oohs/aahs . . . not always easy getting them to sound well in the mix (at least not for me). Nice choice of lead acoustic guitar. Well done tune, Hans!

Pleasantly positive message. Has some kind of Marc Knopfler lightness in the melody, chording and in the groove.
Nice instrumentation, that piano is very smooth and the acoustic guitars support the mood.
Good vocals and oohs/aahs work well with your voice.
Soothing song like a warm blanket.
