My use of the "home studio" recording world is limited by my lack of skill and smaller scope than many people, so my plugin use is also limited. I am much more interested in playing music than recording music.

I record stuff, so I have something to play over. If I record a bass part using a bass guitar or a keyboard, I often don't get it right and have to "correct" things using plugins that serve that purpose.

Plugins that I use every day.

Melodyne, which I highly recommend. I also use autotune, but it is a subscription and expensive.

All the plugins that came with PreSonus Studio One Pro

My money gets spent on music production software like BIAB, Synth V, Toontracks, Addictive Drums, or Trilian which is a super good bass "plugin/insterment". It is expensive but worth the money.

This whole subscription thing is irritating as hell, but in some cases there is no way to get around it.

“Amazing! I’ll be working with Jaco Pastorius, Charlie Parker, Art Tatum, and Buddy Rich, and you’re telling me it’s not that great of a gig?
“Well…” Saint Peter, hesitated, “God’s got this girlfriend who thinks she can sing…”
