I'm astounded that one man can make so many points of emphasis in each line of speech. To borrow from bad manners... I'm ASTOUNDED that ONE MAN can make SO MANY points of EMPHASIS in EACH LINE of SPEECH. Interesting hypothesis. There's a fair bit of reggae bass note choice in the piece. Maurice, (did he really say Mo?), must've been aware & awake to Bob, Peter & Bunny as well as Toots. The Wailers did tour the USA & UK in 73.

Now, just four posts in, suddenly we're no longer talking about the Bee Gees and the subject of that innovative Bass Line. We're suddenly discussing bad manners. Would that be right?
Please feel free to start a separate thread on the subject of bad manners (including capitalized shouting if required). It would be great to just keep a focus on Songwriting in this particular thread. Thanks.

In a shocking revelation, it has been discovered that late Bee Gees member Robin Gibb was once a huge advocate of excessive capitalization on PG Music forums.
According to sources close to the musician, Gibb would spend hours on the online forum, arguing with fellow users about the proper use of capital letters in their posts. He believed that the more capital letters used, the more emphasis and importance the words carried.
One anonymous user, who claimed to have interacted with Gibb on the forum, stated that the singer would often write his entire posts in all caps, even going so far as to capitalize random letters in the middle of words.
"He was really passionate about it," the user said. "He would get into heated debates with other users who didn't share his views on capitalization. He even started his own thread where he would share tips on how to use capital letters effectively."
The news of Gibb's unusual online behavior has shocked many of his fans and colleagues in the music industry. Some have even speculated that his obsession with capitalization may have been a contributing factor to the Bee Gees' signature falsetto vocal style.
Despite the controversy surrounding his online antics, Robin Gibb remains a beloved figure in the music world, with a legacy that will continue to inspire generations of musicians for years to come.

Oh dear, A post including video was made. There were no caveats, no directions in how to respond and no context other than the click bait title of the video. I commented on the presentation in the video. I made it clear that the caps were bad manners & borrowed for the purposes of illustration &, let's face it, they are the better means of communicating the thing I was referring to. I commented on the bass line and how it may have been less innovative than creatively accumulated. (Maurice is the oft forgotten brother but his contributions were usually wonderful). Now, in your way, you're upset that someone has entered the discussion without a "by your leave" and without consulting the Implied AudioTrack, (P.A.F.), style guide. Now, five posts in you've retrospectively applied you passive aggressive shut down of any whiff of dissent from your received wisdom. Could it be that the video maker was simply pumping the bass line to make "content" and using click bait titles to attract commentary? Would the video maker be upset with discussion & debate, (that's what the comments section is for and the more debate the better their algorithmic response)? Why are you so profoundly displeased by anything but agreement? Is cognitive dissonance at play? I commented upon his presentation, you commented upon mine & now I comment upon yours. Should the circle be unbroken? These are matters I'll not bother pondering. Back in 1974
or, perhaps, 1973

Loved the Bee Gees and believe that Maurice Gibb was a great innovator and a hell of a bassist.
The idea that he somehow invented Disco is silly. He helped revive it after it was pretty much dead in late 1975. What the Bee Gees led was a huge resurgence that eclipsed the first wave.

A pretty reasonable evaluation, I think. No question that they influenced music in many ways.
