I didn't listen to very much Steely Dan - I was playing what was - at the time - contemporary country 5 - 7 nights per week in the 70s and 80s (paid good money!).
Regardless, I truly love this flavor! Talk about one heck of a lyric! So cool and totally engaging. As someone previously mentioned ... you are truly unique - and in a very, very good way! Great piano work, by the way!
I wrote this as I was on my second listen. My time here is very limited, so to listen twice defines my fondness for the song.
