Here's an idea for a new feature for the style picker (and other pickers too). I have a tune laid out in BIAB and want to chose a style. I set the picker to match feel and tempo, and wanting to be open minded about the style, I select all styles. Confronted with hundreds of styles, I now audition them one at a time. I find one I like, but I know I might like another better - so I move on - and of course, forget the one, or ones, that I liked.
So my request is to have in the pickers a "candidate style bucket" into which I can dump the ones I like most as I work through the styles. Then after I have finished the auditions, I can concentrate on a list of only those.
This could work just like the current "Favorites" feature, but would separate and only be for a single session. I currently use the Favorites for this activity, but then I have no permanent favorites list. So perhaps allow several Favorites lists...

Well, there's one work-around, although I think your idea is better.
In the style picker Click "Edit" and add a new category(s)
Look around the edit box and you'll figure it out.
- You can name the category - one for every song or whatever you like
- Add whatever styles you want along with your own 'long names' & memos
The new categories you create will appear at the bottom of the style picker list so they don't get deleted by PG updates.

Thanks, boydbob. I took a look. If I'm seeing this right I think this is still a bit klutzy, as you indicated. I just want to go through a hundred styles bang bang bang, and when I hear one I like I just click to move it into the candidate style bucket.
