Here's one that I came up with for Easter, using a little lick from the past with a Johnny Rivers song.

They found an empty room

You thought I was gonna sing about Memphis Tennessee,
but I want to tell you about the man who died at Calvary,
They hung him on a cross there to be crucified,
they drove nails in hands and feet,
and then they pierced his side.
They took him off the cross, and placed him in a tomb,
but three days later he arose, they found an empty room.
Chorus:
They found an empty room, and it was plain to see,
Jesus Christ had risen, like he said it would be.
The Scribes thought he was taken, of so they would assume,
the stone was rolled away, and they found an empty room.

Mary went and told the eleven, go to Galilee,
for the Lord is risen, and there he shall be.
The disciples looked at her, and said this wasn't so,
but Peter said I have to see, and then he said I'll go.
When he looked inside, of that borrowed tomb,
he saw the grave clothes by their self,
he found an empty room.

Repeat Chorus:
