Just tested. I was today years old when I learned I could do that!

While you can't SEE what's in the bin file as a standalone because it's binary and compiled, when you tell the style picker to show only favorites you see only what you have set as a fave. Love it!

Thanks to musocity for piquing my curiosity.

One thing to add. When I went back in after closing a session and restarting, when I told it to show my favorites, there was nothing there.

I am guessing it is pertinent that I use Real Band rather than BIAB? One thing to test before I post this. The file that changed date when I saved a style as a favorite is titled StylzWindowXYWH.bin and it is 1kb. My stylz1.bin is dated 2-26-23 and it is 33,371 kb.

The styles I save during a session remain active during that session. When I close the program and restart there is nothing there as a favorite. But this is a start. If it works for you, it must work. I don't use BIAB but I am going to test it and come back.

Back again. I opened BIAB, saved that style. Closed BIAB. Opened it again. That style was there as a favorite. Closed BIAB. Opened RB. Went to style picker. Told it to show me favorites and that style was there. Yet the file you said to look at is still dated 2-26-23 when logic tells me it should have updated to today.

Just now I renamed stylz1.bin to stylz1.old and nothing bad happened.

FOUND IT!!!

In \bb\preferences is a text file called StyleFavorites.txt that has my 2 test saved styles.

With the same time and date stamp are

DEFAULT.ALI 4kb
interface.bbw 266kb
MySetup.DK 1k

SO... I then booted up a laptop, moved those 4 files into the \bb\preferences directory and the 2 saved styles are there!!

So, bottom line, yep, it works.
