I don't encounter that problem as I usually don't do any DAW tracking until I've pulled in the bits I need from BIAB - including the DAW VST.
It is easy, in most DAWS to add a couple of bars at the front of the project & if the DAW tempo etc is the same as the SGU/BIAB stuff you'll have no problems doing that.
Alternately you can, in BIAB, elect not to have the count in which might be your best option since you've set up the DAW 1st.

Count In/Met.

have a look & see if ALLOW LEAD IN BARS IS SELECTED.
If it is, & I presume it is by default, remove the tick and you should then find the two bars gone. I don't know if this works retrospectively though.
