A few days ago (finally) Windows 11 upgrade came to my computer....
I am still a bit hesitant. Is there obvious improvements, like speed, routing etc., or it's mainly just looking prettier?
My main dilemma, judging from past experience from downgrading (in case I don't like something) was a lottery, as some times software did not fully revert to original state, leaving traces that produced issues. So if I decide to install Win11, it would be a one way street for me.
Mostly I care how it will affect music making software like BIAB, DAW, VSTs hardware. Does it feel the same? Better? Worse? Hoping to get some critical feedback. Thank you.

Win11 vs. Win10, no difference at all in my opinion. I jumped on Win11 as soon as it was available a year and a half ago. It had some bugs then and it all is working well now.
For the most part from what I've experienced, it's mostly cosmetic changes but Windows overall works the same as it has the past several major versions.
Anything that I've done music-wise and any other software works the same as Win10.

What Steve said. I also put Win 11 on one of my primary machines. No issues concerning music software. Standard Windows issues sometimes happen with updates.
I have the other main machine on Win 10. Other than some changes where they move stuff around I have had no issues.
I have had Windows 11 on this machine since it first came out. The only thing I have done is update a bunch of drivers a few days ago. I use some third-party software to remove unwanted/unneeded tracking files and crap that gets into the registry.
You will need to spend a bit of time configuring things to your liking. After that, there will be little need to even think about Win 11.
I did a clean install of Windows 11 so the main issue was downloading all my software.

I agree, no practical difference. I recall reading something a few years ago that Windows 11 even tested a bit better than 10 in some respect for digital audio, but the difference was negligible. You'll probably want to review your power settings, but otherwise, I don't think I did any tweaking.
