Assistant to Editor $159, or to Studio $449

I have been using the Assistant version 5 for years with no real need for anymore. However, I recently tried out the 30-day free Studio version demo. Both Editor and Studio upgrades can edit polyphonic instruments while the Assistant can only edit a single tone. I am now convinced I need this upgrade to edit chords and to add harmonies, so I will upgrade.

The question is Editor or Studio?

Editor will allow me to "...edit even polyphonic instruments like piano and guitar. Using all Melodyne’s tools. Vary melodies and chords; change harmonies and tempos at will."

The extra $290 for Studio gives multi track editing “… View and edit as many tracks as you like in a single Melodyne window”.

And the answer is:

I have decided to get the Editor version. While I do see a possible need to work with multiple tracks, I think this will be rare and there are always workarounds. Also, in the future, if needed, I can always do the Editor to Studio upgrade which is currently $299.

Does anyone see a flaw with this decision?
