I am installing BIAB 2023 full build 1010 on a windows 10 machine. The program installs smoothly until I get to "Installing Plogue Sforzando Plugin" screen and installation just stays there. It has been hours. It also seems to be holding up the instalation of all the other downloads that come with the ultra pack. I have selected automatically install downloaded files, but the instalation of "The MIDI Super tracks 001-035" has been installing for at least an hour and is still not installed.


Any insight would be greatly appricated.

It shouldn't generally take more than a few minutes for any one file to install... I would cancel the install of the individual file (dropdown menu to the right of the file) and then try it again. If it continues to hang and/or the same thing happens with other files, restart the InstallManager program and try again. Before trying again though, double-check that you have enough space on your hard drive(s). If you were getting very low on space that could cause problems...

The problem seems to be with the plogue sforzando plugin on the full 1010 instaltion package it will not install at all. The instalation hangs up at that point. I cancelled andhave tried reinstalling it, no help

Run the installer manually (i.e. just double-click it in your downloads folder, outside the Install Manager) and perhaps this will show us what the problem is.

I ran the installer with Plogue unchecked and BIAB installed fully without it. However the real tracks for the install manager will not install. They start to install, then just keep saying they are installing but nothing happens. I have to go to the BBDownloads file and install manually. A slow process when I have the 2023 ultra pack. I don't understand what is going on, especially since I have downloaded and installed from the BB install manager without issues before.

Have you tried disabling your anti-virus and anti-malware prior to downloading? Sometimes they can get very aggressive and cause errors in downloading.


Also are you using a VPN? That also can cause problems when downloading.

No VPN. The downloading of the files is fine. It is the installation of the program that is giving me the issues. The real tracks install fine manually, but wont install from the BIAB install manager page.

Are you positive that your downloads are fine? If your anti stuff corrupts them then your installation will not happen. This is experience talking.

Also have your anti stuff turned off during installation as that may be the problem.

Yes the downloads are fine. I am able to run and install them from the BBDownloads file. They will not install from the BB install manager. I have tried to stop and reinstall, no help. The manager has worked perfectly fine before. I will try and halt anti-virus and see if that does anything. If not, I will just have to install manually, the whole ultra pack...it's just very time consuming and inconvenient.

I hope you can get everything easily installed as like your said installing manually is very time consuming and inconvenient.

PS - an after thought and one that you probably already know but do you have enough room on your hard drive? I know that this probably a stupid question but I have run into that problem with others.

I'm not sure why that is happening, however:

- You can use an alternate method for installation. Go to your downloads page and click "show all downloads", then find and download "Master RealTracks Content ... installer" to your BBDownloads folder. Run this file to install all realtracks*.exe files. (other files that don't begin with "realtracks" need to be done manually.)

- It would be great if you could send me your log file for the Install Manager - Go to the Help menu | View Logs in Explorer. Zip and email main.log to support@pgmusic.com and reference this forum thread in your email. That might have a clue in it.

- Also, when you say you unchecked Sforzando, was that in the Band-in-a-Box program install? What happens when you run the Sforzando installer manually from bb\Data\Installers ?

Heelo,

I don't see a "Master RealTracks Content ... installer" where would I find it?

I have not installed the Plogue file yet from the data/install folder.

On your download page, click the "show all.." at the bottom, and search for the word 'master', you should find it. If not, PM me with your order number and I can check into it.

Ok I got the real tracks installer. Now the problem space, I have been deleting the real tracks EXE afterI install them. The real track installer states I need 120GB to install the rest of the real tracks I only have about 20 right now. Is there any way to do this?

I'm going to have to keep deleting the download for each set of real tracks after they are installed to keep ahead of the space requirements. Still beats installing them one by one

If you only have 20Gb free, then consider the disk to be full. Very full.

Perhaps invest in a removable USB-3 drive with plenty of room, and run everything from there.

I see, no you would need an external USB drive. That would be a worthwhile investment for the future, or even if you had any BIAB hard drive from a previous year you could use that.

That is exactly what I was eluding to in my previous message. Now we see that you do not have enough space to install everything. So it is either an USB external drive or a new internal hard drive. If I had that choice I would choose a new large internal drive. YMMV

Its is a an external ssd. The Plogue installed from the data folder and all the real tracks installed. I just wish I knew why the Install manager would not work.
