This also has to do with the logic of interpreting your chord inputs. If you wanted to enter a C#11 instead of a Db#11, the program would not be able to interpret unambiguously whether the root should be a C or a C#.
The root of the chord must always be followed by unambiguous information like a number, letters like "m", "j" or "d" (major, minor, diminished) or signs like "-" or "+" etc.
