I your sister / sinister problem sematic or because of the timing?
If the latter, it's intentional so you don't fall asleep. You automatically focus on this instead of dozing off with the song.
In the first version of the song, it was right on the beat, but when you throw it off beat, and differently each time, it gives it the uneven/unsteady feel I wanted.
My wife doesn't like it either, so you're in good company
PS:
"It rocks good, Norman!": I guess that's another reference I'm too young for. Or is that an Australian thing?
