Ooo, I love it when a comment starts off with "goodness." Thanks, Floyd. Diggin' your addition to the CiCi line. Kinda reminds me of "They're coming to take me away...Ah-ha-he-he."

Thanks for ALL your comments, Scott. So much appreciated!! My favorite part of the video was the whacky guy with the propeller hat.

P.S. One of my favorite bands is Squirrel Nut Zippers. Check them out:

Thanks, Misha!! Never heard of the Nuts, but because of your recommendation I know them now. Love that raunchy trumpet and baritone sax. Yeah, that's the stuff.

Your vocal fits the style perfectly. Production is great full without being over the top
Very nice job

Ha, thanks, Elliott. Jolson? Yeah, mammy. How I love it...

You are a perfect fit for Dixieland, Marty! Janice had “happy feet” from the get-go. wink

We love all the rhymes and now know who to go to when looking for help with them!

Your vocal and bass are ace and the clarinet is so good.

What a good video too. Love the iguana and the happy colorfully dressed dancer.
I bet you had fun making this vid!

Swing on!

Marty ...

I thought I'd commented on this yesterday. But, nope - this getting old stuff messes with you 'tween the ears!

Love Dixieland. You just gave me another reason to keep my resolve in that thought. This was so much fun! Always love your music - seriously!

Best to you ...

Alan

Fun, fun video!!! Much darker lyrics than the tune suggests, am I right? ;-) Superb job, the juxtaposition of those darker lyrics to the dancing tune is seamlessly done. Hats off to you, sir - bravo.

Hey, James. Thanks for the MAJOR compliment, an I get it. I always wanted to do a version of When I See An Elephant Fly from the cartoon version of Dumbo.

Actually the lyrics are more nonsense than anything, but I'd say the singer and CiCi are happier than the singee.

Take care, TB

Thanks so much, Torrey. So much easier working with the PGMusic horns. I remember once in the 70s I charted out horn parts for a song I wrote. The tenor player looked at me and said, "This whole section here is impossible to play on a tenor sax." I immediately went out to buy a book on musical instrument limitations. SO much easy to have these guys do it.

Thanks, Deej. Polka was the only other option for this comedy, and I didn't even check to see if BiaB has any. smile

Thanks, Scott. Truly only wrote this cuz I like playing bass over it. wink

Woo-hoo smile Creative change from the usual, but still the trustworthy positive vocal delivery and fun play with words and rhymes.
Enjoyed the band that supports that "crazy melody", the soloists bring smile. I can definitely imagine Marty of 1920's being very popular with this kind of songs smile

Thanks, you two!! Happy your feet were groovin' to it, Janice. Hey, you know I'm always just a text message away from helping you in any way I can, even like these rhymes-with-no-reason nonsense lyrics. Yes, this was a fun vid to make --mostly cuz it was short. I like that crazy dancin' guy, too. My favorite part was watching the reactions of all the people around him.

Hi, Alan. Actually you were the first to comment on the new Soundcloud account I had to make because I didn't want to keep deleting old to bring in new. Thanks for all you say, and I'm with ya on that getting old...
