Alan,
Wonderfully done! Calm and soothing, as I imagine a viewing of Tyrian purple would be in a lovely sunset. Production is top-notch . . . like others I think the brushes were a perfect choice here, which along with the bass and that warm fiddle carry this super song. If I had one nit, it's at the one minute mark and 3:08 mark on the stops. I find in BIAB for whatever reason the guitars sound a bit louder and harsher on the stop . . . like they strum that one note extra hard. So my suggestion would be to lower the sound on those guitars just a tad to soften the stop . . . if that makes sense. Real minor and most likely a subjective nit, but offering for what it's worth. Excellent work on this!
All my best,
Deej
Hi Deej ...
It's always a pleasure to hear from you, in addition to hearing the great music you post. And yes, I agree about the excessive loudness of some of the RTs tracks when you give them a "three-dot stop". I brought them down quite a bit, both on the chord input sheet and in Audacity. As soon as I get a little extra time, I'll go back and address that again.
The addition of the brushes was a last-minute decision. Glad I went with it! Abd glad you enjoyed it. Many thanks!
Alan
