When using the TTS-1 synthesizer, after deleting any Volume Events on the track(s), I been able to use the BIAB mixer's volume sliders to adjust the sliders on the TTS-1 and the levels stay where I put them.
But, using the VSTSynthfont64 plugin (V3.442 as well as the previous version), the sliders on the plugin stay stationery but the actual volume goes wherever it wants. Hit play and the level jumps, ignoring the BIAB mixer volume settings.
The only way I can get it to stay where I want it, is to use the level controls on the plugin instead of the mixer, which I find awkward.
I like the sound of the VSTSynthfont64 (using Coyote Forte soft fonts) better, but I always seem to revert to the TTS-1 because it's easier to use and is more consistent.
I have been trying to use this synth for a couple of years now and every time I give up in frustration.
I know other users have been using this synth with glowing comments. I assume that I'm doing something wrong, Is there something that I'm missing?
Would appreciate any input on this. Thanks

I just tested on the current version of BIAB (1010) and I see no problem with setting volumes with the mixer and saving the settings when using the VSTSynthfont64 (3.442). The volume sliders go to and remain where I set them. You got something else going on here. I can show you a short video of this working on my system along with my settings if you think that would help?

Sure would like to see how the sliders in the synth move... and figure out why mine don't. They don't appear to be linked to the BIAB mixer at all. Maybe a setting somewhere? But the TTS-1 goes "to and fro" with no problem. I'd like to see that video, if it's not too much trouble... Thanks!

Here you go. << removed after viewing>> Oh Oh, were you expecting to see sychronization of the vol sliders between both the Mixer and the Synthfont? Ya, that don't exactly happen. I really never noticed that. And when I tried to mess with both at the same time, bad things happened. . Did I make it worse?

Okay, thanks. I appreciate what you've done and see that it doesn't actually move the synth faders when you move the mixer faders (As it does with the TTS-1). My setup is the same as yours under MIDI Drivers. I generally import my MIDI's split to the utility tracks and sometimes mix in real tracks on the legacy tracks, and this is when I noticed the problem. I also import whole MIDI's to the Melody Track (making an .MGX file) and have to add a new instance of the VSTSynthfont64 to that track instead of the Default Synth already there, or the volume control on the Melody track does nothing (and I have no master volume control for the Melody (whole MIDI) track. Will have to keep experimenting, I guess. Thanks for taking the time to respond! Thanks!
