Dear Team PGMusic,

I haven't written too many songs in the last few years. Just yesterday, though, I started building a new song. In the past, I've played around with partial regeneration from a testing perspective but I have never seriously used it. This morning, I'm working my way through each realtrack in my song, and I'm using the combination of "audio edit" along with "partial regeneration" to shape how I want that track to play.

The ease with which partial regeneration works is enormously time-saving for me. In the past, I've usually created multiple generations of a realtrack and compiled a master version of that realtrack using copy and paste in Reaper. It's been an effective but slow process. Today, I'm zooming through the tracks. I absolutely love it that I can use "snap" to select a region and that BIAB seamlessly joins the newly generated region onto the existing generation on either side of the selection. The fact that after the partial generation replay begins one bar earlier than the selected region is the cream in this excellent cup of coffee as it allows me to hear how the change sits in moving from what exists to what is new.

I'm feeling very inspired to get back into creating right now.

So thank you Peter, Andrew and awesome team smile I love how this program has continued to grow over the years.

Regards,
--Noel
