I hope that when I put the effort into these things I help the developers to find and fix the bug/issue/quirk. The hardest part of fixing a bug is being able reliably to repeat it. I'm also pretty sanguine if it turns out to be operator error ... at least we learn something. There definitely appear to me to be multiple bugs in this area. I imagine that most people either don't try to do what I've been doing, of just give up trying. The frequent recommendation to write as one big chorus tend to imply that.

I think I can now reasonably reliably put together songs that should behave provided I don't ever reduce the number of choruses to one. I'm unlikely to do that in use, but I've always started building the song from one chorus, so I start out in the danger zone.

But as my first post in this thread alludes: it shouldn't be this hard.
