Hi All,

Over the years I have written a number of songs about New York. Places I've been, lived and had experiences in. Some recorded, some not. Some were meant to be prequels or sequels to other songs. I may put them all together in a collection some day.

Anyway, here’s one that has been "in the drawer" and is now finally recorded. smile

This is called Halfway Through Poughkeepsie.

Watching the day rise
Canada Geese flying high
The sounds of the morning
And the moon still lights the sky

But I’m halfway through Poughkeepsie
As the rain turns to snow
Yeah halfway through Poughkeepsie
With roads and miles to go

Running a shower
In some old Budget Inn
The mirror shows a bit of haze
And the walls are paper thin

But I’m halfway through Poughkeepsie
As the rain turns to snow
Yeah halfway through Poughkeepsie
With roads and miles to go

Rhythm on the radio
Some old time Johnny Cash
Ice before the bridge ahead
And the road is made of glass

But I’m halfway through Poughkeepsie
As the rain turns to snow
Yeah halfway through Poughkeepsie
With roads and miles to go
