Title: Tears in Space SoundCloud Link: Tears in Space SoundCloud Link for updated mix: Tears in Space - New Mix Key=F#m, Tempo 87 Instrumental with a bit of Hip Hop flair and Trap style drums. Style is _COLLIDE.STY (Collide Rock Guitar Alt Hip Hop). I only used the guitar RealTracks. RealTracks in style: 1831:Guitar, Electric, Rhythm PopModernGrooveBrightA-B Ev16 075 RealTracks in style: 1831:Guitar, Electric, Rhythm PopModernGrooveBrightA-B Ev16 075 Guitar is double tracked with slight variation in each track. Starts at about 1:39 into the song. The MIDI from the guitar parts are also used for a piano part after some editing to make more suitable for the piano. This piano part (again double tracked) starts at about 32 seconds into the song. Studio One used for DAW.

Hello Mark,
Welcome back.
I look forward to listening BUT I don't know you or your work so being given a choice, at this early stage, is a little problematic.
It'd be reasonable, and fair to other posters, if you chose just the one song for your return.
Things get pushed from page one and into the ether very quickly when multiple drops occur.
Oh, it'll also be excellent, this time around if you responded to at least some comments left for you.
Tears in Space...
I quite like the non percussive elements but the drums really don't work for me so far up front. When they drop back a little or are consumed by the other parts it's pretty cool though.

Mark, this is really good.
I agree with Ray that the drums some be more in the background.
I also think that synth sound should be more up front.
But regardless this is a really good song.

Pretty much agree with Ray and Mario - particularly about the synth = should be more forward in the mix. The solo acoustic rhythm - with it continuing in the background for a while afterward, was real nice.

Thanks for the feedback about the mix. After listening again on my headphones instead studio monitors, I agree with suggestions. I have reposted the song on SoundCloud with updated mix (-3db on the drums, +4db on the atmospheric synth.) SoundCloud Link: Tears in Space - New Mix

I just listened to the remix and, in my opinion, it's really good. Bringing the synth up did the trick for me ... I like it!

Seems I always agree with those guys who've already commented here, and once again I agree, and you did an excellent job following their advice. Man, that remix sounds so good. Yes, the double tracking really brought them both out and outstanding. I really like the way you build the song, and how you incorporate such good dynamics. Well written and produced, Mark.

Interesting modern instrumental. Good arrangement and clear mix. I think piano could use a bit more reverb, but that is a thing of a taste. Thank you for sharing.

Very interesting piece, I really enjoy the combination of different styles and instruments. The chord progression is quite unique and drives the haunting space mood. Hip-hop elements are nicely present. The move from piano via acoustic guitar to the rock guitar is refreshing. The synth is eerily effective.
