Thanks to Floyd for offering his advice regarding texture to the production on this one! Not sure if I improved or not but I essentially turned the last chorus into a breakdown chorus. Let me know what you think if you are so inclined. Constructive feedback ALWAYS welcomed!!

Na zdrowie!

Dewey,

That little bit of change is quite nice.
Opinion - I think this could benefit from more of this (or similar).
IF you chose to revisit it...
The snare all the way through is part of what drives the feel - the chorus does not have much of a change from the verse (production sound-wise). A sidestick in the first verse would give you a bit of change.
Just ideas.

Dewey,
Very good vocals & phrasing. I liked tune's structure, especially twist at around 2:00. Clear mix. Thank you for sharing.

It's hard to go wrong with a fj suggestion. The man is steeped in N'ville writing and production knowledge.

Well sung with attitude and "The knife she used to cut me loose went pretty deep" is an excellent line.

Enjoyed it!

I like what you did here, good song with good vocals, and of course I love those harmonies.
I agree with Floyd, a change of drums from verse to chorus would create a nice contrast, I almost always do that.

If you decide to use a Sidestick, SkaSlow70sWesPerc is always a good choice, at least for the kind of music I write.
Maybe it works for you, too.

Thanks for the advice B. D.! My BIAB is down right now but I will for sure give your "sidestick" suggestion a try when I'm up and running again! Na zdrowie!

Sounds good but with the sidestick I think that will take it over the top.
BUT this is really good as is!

Nice write! Everything else, too. smile

I didn't listen to the first version, so I can't make an comments on how this is different.

I am fan of making the verse and chorus sound different on songs, and floyd jane's advice is always worth listening to.

This is the next revision of this one. Based on all your input, I made the bridge and breakdown chorus more dynamic. I think it's an improvement but let me know what you think.
