You could certainly try it, and it may very well work fine for your purposes, but I'm pretty sure you will encounter problems. For example, with Media Foundation missing, you may have a hard time rendering files in the format you want. The fallback will require you to find and install various codecs yourself which can be tricky. Also, the audition features would likely not work, as they use Windows Media functionality.
