Complete SurrenderThis is a song I originally started in 2008 but couldn't get it the way I wanted it. After Di and I got together in early 2011, I was messing around with it when she walked into the room. She commented how much she liked it. I explained I wasn't happy with part of the lyric and couldn't arrange the chorus just right. She sat down and listened several times before saying she thought she could help. And sure enough, this is where we ended up fifteen minutes later. This is from that batch of songs for which I no longer have the tracks listed - computer fried, and the memory stick which I used for backing up the songs with pertinent info was plugged into the computer and got totally corrupted. All I can tell you is it is from the 11.5 version of BIAB. Di can no longer sing as she did back then (quickly declining health due to successive strokes & dementia), Hope you enjoy it. It's a bittersweet thing to hear her sing those lines knowing the current circumstances.
A lovely song, a lovely performance and a superb keepsake.

Bob Hi Bob ,,, You are always much too kind. But Di and I have managed to live with it! I truly miss her original voice - before poor health started chipping away at it. Her voice has always had a unique charisma and warmth. I believe that's the first time I've heard/read her compared to Rosemary Clooney. Rosie had A warm voice and personality. I remember her TYV show back in the early and mid 1950s. She'll be happy to hear of that analogy when I tell her tomorrow. Again, many sincere thanks. Alan

Chillingly beautiful, Alan & Di. Yes, Di could make any song better. Such a gorgeous voice. Excellent control. Hey, I like the strings. I guess that's from the 11.5 version, too. The melody is perfect and she makes it her own. Much enjoyed.

Janice said that reading the backstory and then listening to the song just confirms that you and Di were meant to be together. And your loving care for Di show that these lines below are so true.
