It turned out not too bad. The fret placement has to be dead on for the guitar to play in tune at every fret. That is not easy to do. For the next one, I will build, I will buy a rosewood fretboard pre-slotted made on a CNC machine or program my CNC mill to do that.

Yeah, I figured that the frets would be the most complicated and precision requiring aspect of a guitar build. Just a few thousands of an inch one way or the other and you have intonation issues. Multiply that by the 20 to 24 frets on a normal neck and you have a challenging task. The factory neck might be the best way to go.
