Running Win10 and BiaB 2023. Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 interface.

I have tried rebooting (but not reinstalling since problems are limited to this one song).

Have searched the forums with no success. Most common answer to similar problems is latency.

Song was originally recorded at a faster tempo. Slowed tempo about 10bpm and re-recorded the vocal. It is almost like the vocal track is trying to sync to the old tempo, if this makes sense?

What might I be doing wrong here?

Give us some more info. Assuming you don't have a sample rate difference.... everything set to 44.1k audio sample rate.....

What is the sound card you are using and what is the driver you have selected for it?

Quite often it is a hardware/software issue with the card and driver. If you are using the factory sound card in your computer, chances are good it's using MME or something other than ASIO. That can certainly be problematic with playback sync when you have softsynths running along with audio. If the file opens in RB as "all audio" there is no sync issue because there's no softsynths running. When you use a driver other than ASIO on a card designed to run ASIO you will have issues.

I ran BB/RB on a laptop using the factory sound and had issues depending on the style I was using and whether it was all midi or a mix of midi and audio tracks. That very same computer, when hooked up in the studio to my Focusrite interface running ASIO drivers was flawless with it's sync regardless of the styles, tempo, or number of tracks. I don't think I've ever had to change the latency settings or buffers from the setup defaults on my studio recording software.
