I've recommended thie FAQ before. midi and audio are different so it helps to know a bit about what midi actually is https://www.pgmusic.com/techfaq69.htm#1once you have a midi track it peoduces a sound. you can convert that to an audio once you've got it but the midi and the audio you produce still remain two different kinds ways of making sounds
