Mario,
Terrific work with the WC! Well played. Musical. Nice guitar work, too. Good levels on everything. Those Swam instruments sure sound good.
During the early part when the sax is the lead instrument, I thought it should be mixed a bit more towards center (like slightly-left-of-center). I felt the same way when the guitar became the lead instrument - that it was panned too hard right. Thought that would benefit from being slightly-right-of-center. Although when they were trading-licks, that panning worked. (Even then, I think having the two slightly panned would work, though you might want to increase the panning at that point to some degree for more separation). Opinions, of course. (and NOT to detract from how nice the playing is...)
Cool stuff.

Nice! I'll also complain about non-centered leads, because I like to complain. And perhaps a touch more 'verb on the horns, to make things glue together a bit more. Fun listen! Horns are cool.

Grooving number. I like your lead. I'm fine with the instrument placement. I guess it's is preference. I felt like the soloists were on different sides of the stage.

It's good to experiment. One never knows what might happen.
Good work and sounded like a fun jam along.
I have a BC on one of my keys, but I could never seem to get the hang of using it properly. Yours sounds pretty effortless.

Hey hey, Nice song with a perfect title, I can see some dancing going on. Recording a big band is difficult and you have managed to tackle the work well. I would suggest that in a dance motiff the drumset needs to be a tad more alive, the kick is fine but the snare/highhat etc could use some eq. The horns have a great verb. Donny G

fj You're right Floyd. I spend a lot of time getting all of the volumes correct and forgot about the stereo field. I made the mistake of placing the backing horns first and then finding open areas for the alto and guitar. In other words 180 degrees backwards! Thanx for bringing it to my attention.

I did have more reverb on the horns but I thought that it was too much. But yur are right a tad more may help. Thanx for bringing that up, appreciate constructive criticism.

I have a BC on one of my keys, but I could never seem to get the hang of using it properly. Yours sounds pretty effortless. Thanx Herb. Using my wind controller took a long time to get it somewhat right: I'm sill trying to really learn it. Using you BC for volume is the same as using my wind controller for volume and they are perfect for horn and string parts. Many times I get excited and forget to use mine properly and I end up with a straight line volume automation. Time to try again. Thus I know your pain.
