I'll have to wait until I get home from work to try it as a medley; however, when you try to mix 4/4 and 3/4 in BIAB, you must always start with 4/4. That establishes the max number of beats for the song, so going back to 3/4 fits within that. What that really means is that bar 1 must be 4/4, but then you are free to put a 3/4 style at bar 2, then go back to 4/4 at a later bar. When I mix time signatures, and I really want to start with 3/4, I will select a 4/4 style for the song, and then enter a C. in bar 1 (to rest all instruments for the first bar). I then select the waltz style I want at bar 2 (by pressing F5 and selecting the style), and now I can play 3/4. Later, I can go back to 4/4 by pressing F5 at the appropriate bar and selecting the 4/4 style.
