Very fine song and lyrics, Bob
"Didn’t we live on the dark side of town
And sometimes we turned gold like autumn coming down". Lovely.
I would just replace the "And" for "But". Not a big deal though.

Bob...That was dark but refreshing...interesting...I like the sparseness of the lyric...it let the music carry the mood of the song...love the BiaB band you assembled...it had a Dylan-esque feel to it...very folky and I really liked it...the melody of "Coming Down" will be stuck in my head all day...but that's good!

I like this. An interesting look at what can be interpreted in several ways.

Beautiful song. Loved it. It feels strange to analyse it, because it's the whole thing that works together, and to pick it apart doesn't feel right. So ... well done. Stunning.

Always such a treat, Bob. Love the vocals. The band is perfect. I don't hear this as a sad song. I also like the lyric that Vic quoted, and, yeah, I like changing the and to but, supposing the dark side is something those living there would find something to brighten up their lives. Still, love the lyrics.

Sweet and timely tune. Can't believe summer is almost over. Nice instrumentation, laid back vocals and harmony. Two spins, easy listen. Thank you for sharing.

P.S. I keep bragging that we need more flute / small winds RTs. Flutes are tough to program in MIDI because of complex articulation, they need to be played. Perhaps new version will have some. This and prior year we had Irish whistle, which is great, but a bit too melodic. We need something inline what you used here.

Awesome how your vocals makes us feel the song! Great job running the theme all the way through the song.
Suggestion: Consider replacing he last two "Coming Down" lines in each chorus to ONE line of your full-hook "Autumn Coming Down"

This had the Lucinda feel to it in the poignancy of the lyric and the hypnotic rhythm of the band. Janice was swaying back and forth while listening.  The flute intro was nice and those guitar RT’s were a good combo. “In this world There are many hands to hold And I know It’s a pity to get old” We love the whole lyric but the above really got our attention. Enjoyed it! J&B
