Welcome to the forum.

There have been other mentions of this 117 error, but to my knowledge, and I'm just another user, there has not been a definitive solution. Things to check include:

Make sure your Windows audio settings are set to a sample rate of 44.1K and 16-bit.

Make sure any digital audio device you don't use is disabled. Prime culprit: the monitor (screen) that has its own speakers.

And you may say, I've already made sure my setup has both these things set correctly, but did Windows do an update? I've had the Windows updates turn a HD Monitor audio back on and change the default audio to 24-bit 48K. The reason this may show up as a problem in BIAB and not in your other audio programs is that those other programs may handle settings other than 44.1/16.

Also, make sure you do not have more than one digital audio program running that uses ASIO. Yes, there are multiclient ASIO devices now but why look for trouble?

And as you will see in this other thread, several of us just use MME in BIAB anyway. Several reasons.

And do take the program's advice and contact PG Music Support. There's a tab at the top of this page.
