Sounds like a trick question, BIAB is quite limited in its time signatures.
From the Help AI - Band-in-a-Box allows for a variety of time signatures, including 4/4, 3/4, 2/4, and 1/4.
BIAB – 2025, Reaper (current), i7-12700F Processor, 32GB DDR4-3200MHz RAM, 1TB WD Black NVMe SSD, 2TB WDC Blue SSD, 1TB WD Blue, 2 TB SK NVMe, 6 TB External, Motu Audio Express 6x6

Rob,
Do you mean how do you change the time signature for one bar from 6/8 to 9/8?

I am thinking you mean time signature. The only way I know that might work is to add an additional bar and set the number of beats to 3, then back to 6 on the following bar.
BIAB & RB2025 Win.(Audiophile), Sonar Platinum, Cakewalk by Bandlab, Izotope Prod.Bundle, Roland RD-1000, Synthogy Ivory, Kontakt, Focusrite 18i20, KetronSD2, NS40M Monitors, Pioneer Active Monitors, AKG K271 Studio H'phones

Yes Jim, and yes sir Trev! I am still trying to figure out 6/8 time the instructions say start with 4/4 time then choose a 6/8 style, that gave me a headache. Now I need a second bar of 3 wouldn’t 4 and 3 be 7?
Maybe that’s either Canadian or Aussie math!

Maybe that’s either Canadian or Aussie math! In BiaB you an only take beats away from a time signature, never add them. The only way to 'effectively' get the 9/8 is to have a bar of 6/8 and then add another bar with 3 beats. I hope this helps (and doesn't confuse anything further )

So, in a style where 6/8 is emulated in 4/4, you would add a measure of 2 beats. This adds 3/8 for a two-measure of 9/8. Then go back to 4 beats in the next measure.
No, I didn’t try it yet …

Okay i have the extra bar set to 2/4 time and it acts like a rest for the proceeding bar but the next bar after goes back to 4/4 time(6/8) but the chord delays and it only plays 2 beats then go on to the next bar. So it is not correctly returning to 4/4 time. The immediate solution is to change the bar back to 4/4 time and the rest is just a little bit longer

Now this would be way too easy: >>Generate and Play tracks instantly in the Plugin by playing the source files direct from the generated text data, no rendering down to wav at all (unless needed to export).
Yes, planned for sometime in 2023.
>>Fit and sync with any Time Signature in the DAW. Sync with any decimal varying tempo map.
We plan to add support for floating point tempos and any time signature, in BiaB, plug-in, and RB.
>Go over 255 bars.
Yes, planned for BiaB & plug-in. Already possible in RB.
>48khz / 24bit source wav/aiff files.
We have source wavs for this 24/48, and are looking into it. This I will take time, but should be worth it.
