Thanks for trying to raise awareness of this, JL. I know for a fact that BIAB used to behave properly in this respect (i.e. if you clicked on F in the notation editor when the song is in the key of, say, D major, it would enter an F sharp rather than F natural). I think this step backwards was introduced with BIAB 2023, or possibly one of the 2022 patch updates.
I'm here, at this forum, right now because I'm currently entering notation for a song that's in D flat major (5 flats) and I'm having to fiddle about with almost every note to get the right pitch.
