I look forward to supporting folk instruments.
In particular, I would appreciate it if you could play Japanese shakuhachi, sanshin, shinobue, Japanese drums, etc. in chord scales.

There is also an instrument called the Koto that has a lovely sound. It may be used in jazz too. For an example, check Yutaka Yokokura.

Japanese musical instruments are just so unique and beautiful. I think folk instruments really do bring something magical to music! Personally, I must admit I'm not the most knowledgeable about Japanese instruments, but your enthusiasm is infectious. Lately, I've been diving into Irish music and have become captivated by the concertina. It's such a uniquely special instrument that adds that unmistakable Irish vibe to the tunes. Different cultures, and different instruments, but all equally amazing in their own way!

Have you tried the NI KONTAKT sample library EAST ASIA? https://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/spotlight-collection/east-asia/As long as that BIAB plugin hosting code doesnt crash ( sigh... ) you could load it into a MIDI plugin track in BIAB
