Thanks, Rossie88 for sharing. i have to say most biab cover files are bad. As much as i see the effort that goes into them each and every one need work to be usable. I have a ton of Joanne Coopers, the are nicely done, but most are not even close to the sound, timing, and feel of the original songs. I checked many of the styles used on them and they seem to be the one suggested by BiaB's style picker. Sorry no cigar. Example the Eagles take it Easy, and on your facebook site, CCR Bad moon rising. Both sound like something from Hee Haw. fiddles and Steel Guitar, Dire straits sounding guitar leads. certainly not the Country rock of the eagles, or especially the swamp rock style of CCR. A nice place to start, but it requires a style change and a couple RT changes to begin to feel like the originals, or even a nice Version of the song.
Keep on trying to share some will hit the nail. Some of Joannes are really good, most need work. Still, they are worth having.
Norton is a bit different, Bob just tries to nail the feel, and many times he really does. He uses a lot of midi to do this since midi can be more flexible for cover work. i plan to buy a set of two soon from him to see what i can make it them. all of this is a starting point the quality depends like anything how much effort we each put into is.

Yes, that's right, but by sharing we learn more to get better, everyone has a strong point in a song sometimes. It is important to use the latest version of BiaB.
Indeed, it must be usable, you have to pay for the J Cooper ones and I don't like them all equally, I use a style as a basis and from there I try to look for instruments that fit better than the style.
This takes you one step further, some songs / tracks were made for ourselves to perform, and adapted to our ideas and presentation, we will never be able to make a 110% copy of a real song with this program.

I actually made over 100 songs with Realband a few years back I used a combination of RealTracks and midi files I found on the internet. The midi were used for hook lines and signature riffs. It takes a ton of work but you can get them to sound pretty good. The same can be done for BiaB. I find Joanne’s song files pretty accurate when it comes to chords and such just the RTs RDs and styles need work.
At least they are a good starting point. I found some on your Facebook page that were pretty darn good after a little digging. Your point about not being 110% is valid. I never try to make them exact, but more “in the style of”. Sort of my take on the song.
This is where Notes Nortons files are handy. They get you close enough.

Not everyone who covers a song wants to duplicate the record.

True, doing a in the style of is cool, especially when it adds a new flavor to the song.
