There is a drum kit (often hidden if you don't have a huge screen) on the VIEWS menu bar. Look all the way to the right, and you may need to click the double chevron ">>" to see it. Hit "Record MIDI" and choose an empty track. Click on any of the percussion instruments with your mouse. When you play back, choose a MIDI drum kit on the appropriate channel. You can REALLY spice up tunes with this overlooked method.
