Thanks for the great review, Dan.

Well, thank you, Brain. You can also tell me the parts you'd like to complain about. HAHA!

Thanks very much for saying that, AT.

And ain’t love grand?!!

Your lyric gets to the heart of the matter (pun intended) about what is truly important in one’s life and your vocal expresses it very well.

Dave’s Santana vibes were felt during the intro and fills but the solo was pure Dave Bell at his most awesomeness!

The video was one of your best and Janice particularly enjoyed the solo scene and the elk scene. Nice!

And, by the way, you also know what it is like to be a good friend, as evidenced all the time here on the forum. smile
Oh and of course the band, your and Dave’s performances and the mix are all high bar — as always.

Kudos!

I'd recognize that guitar playing anywhere...

My list of unaccomplishments would be as long as Rip Van Winkles beard.

Good solid song in all respects. I'm a hopeless romantic, so I much appreciate the message.

Great song in every way, the bass and your voice have that enjoyable sad tone. And Dave can always pull big bluesy tears out of his guitar. Mix is clear. You certainly know what it's like to write an excellent song smile

Janne
Thanks, Janne. There is supposed to be a bit of lament in reveries like this, but love conquered that too. Kinda wish BiaB has one of those smallest-violins-in-the-world RTs. laugh

It supports your vocals really well.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Thanks, you guys. I love puns --unusual, huh? Yep, those elks surely illustrate the point perfectly. Being a good friend is part of the love. You guys are definitely in the choir for this serman.

Marty, this is a great hook and you did a great job setting it up. I've never heard this angle for a song before. Great job with the production choices and that guitar lick is a joy to be sure!

Really great work by both of you. Love the tone on Dave's guitar, and the lyric is so spot on. Pretty dang nice vocals, too! That was a real treat!

Marty,

I'm shocked that I missed this one! So much new music on the forum these days it must have slipped by me.

This is absolutely outstanding... You and Dave have some great collaborations and this one is exceptional.

Love the song, sentiment and your vocal.

Bob

Well, Marty, I'd say you have accomplished something special: Appreciating the true meaning of life. Some of us are on still on that journey, and listen with envy...

Oh, and your tune is very cool musically, too. I learn a lot every time I listen to one of your songs.
